As the story progresses, we see the complexities of their relationship unfold, as Nora’s own relationship with a drummer, Ozzie, complicates matters.
We also see how their lives are interconnected and how they can either make or break each other.ĭylee eventually meets up with Nora, a studio musician and apparent love interest, which begins a relationship between them and starts shifting the focus of the book. As the story progresses, we see how Dylee’s life is framed by the lives of those around him - be it his friend Terri, the bartender, or his best friend, Gabe. Dylee finds solace in his own self-reflection, forgetting outside pressures and the negative opinions of others. The story begins with Dylee moving to a new city for a fresh start, but instead facing feelings of loneliness and isolation. The story follows a small cast of characters - at first just Dylee, the main character and a recurring cast of other characters - as they work on their own self-reflection and explore their respective relationships with each other.
